Un caso de atresia congénita de esófago co fístula tráquo-esofágica operado con éxito / A case of congenital atresia of the esophagus with tracheoesophageal fistula treated by primary esophageal anastomosis

Se presenta un caso de atresia de esófago en el que se practicó anastomosis primaria, cierre de fístula y gastrotomía sobreviviendo hasta la fecha, atribuyéndose el éxito a los cuidados pre y postoperatorios. Se hacen consideraciones acerca de esta malformación haciendo hincapié en los datos que se deben tener en cuenta para fundar el diagnóstico

Atresia esofágica en el Hospital Central MSAS y Hospital Patrocinio Peñuela Ruíz San Cristóbal Estado Táchira 1983-1992 / Esophagical atresia in the Hospital Central MSAS, Hospital Patrocinio Peñuela Ruíz San Cristobal State Tachira 1983-1992

Retrospective study of 15 histories patient with esofagical atresia at Hospital Central of San Cristobal and Hospital Dr. Patrocinio Peñuela Ruíz from San Cristobal from 1983-1992. The mortality rate was 71 per cent to HCSC vs. 25 per cent HPPR. The incidence of EA was 1:2000 HCSC and 1:4000 HPPR. The diagnosis was be in all child by maneuver of passing a catheter down the esophagus, but very last 66 per cent after the first 12 hours. The 86 per cent of the infant are of the Type III variety. Haight anasthomosis was be in 14 cases win 100 per cent effectiveness. Emergency gastrotomy was in four cases.
